Another fun podcast. The idea that Jacques Martin wanted a day off so gave it to the players is an interesting viewpoint. It makes sense to me. Thanks for that because I never would have thought of it myself.
As for the idea that sexually active wealthy young men will act responsibly in South Florida is insane so JM should never have let the team loose in that environment. I totally blame him for the Florida losses. This was the time to get to work to solidify the winning feeling earned in Jersey and against the Rangers not celebrate a two game win streak.
What to do with Plekanec is something Bob will have to deal with for the good of the team going forward. He’s a smart hockey man, just hope whatever he does will work out because he hasn’t much luck until the Pouliot trade. Maybe this is a sign his luck is turning around.
Regarding Markov, I’m thinking he’s trying to do too much offensively because the team needs goals so badly in a tight playoff race. He may well have lost a step because of the injury but he’s by no means slow.
